Ah semantics. A boss tells an employee or two to not come in to work the next day. What would you call that? Some would say “suspension” others say…well…”not a suspension”
The later is what 105.7 The Point’s Woody told STLMedia’s Mike Anderson happened on Friday, not a suspension like what we reported.

Apparently 1**05.7 The Point’**s new-ish morning show “Woody and Rizzuto” have been suspended for the rest of the week because they made jokes about the frontman of the band 360Smile’s suicide. Well not really, they were really suspended because of the movement to boycott the show. Here’s some info from their Facebook Group page:

Word on the street is that now the Post Dispatch is firing people that don’t even work there! How is this even profitable?! We hear from the man himself that former PD gossip columnist Jerry Berger was recently banned from visiting his old friends at “Disgruntled Town”, aka the Post Dispatch Office.

Watch out Virginia Kerr, your spot at the top of the “cute TV news reporter” food chain might just be in trouble. Yes, Kerr still has the KMOV crowd on lock, but the overall title isn’t quite the blowout it once was and what some people think it still is.
We always knew April Simpson from KTVI Fox2 was cute, but after her Twitter picture (below) flashed across our desktop the other day betwixt the other updates of the day, we might have mentally broken up with Kerr and moved to Team Simpson.

I made a quick mention in my Friday night post about 101 ESPN and JC Corcoran that even the shadowy figure in the 101 ESPN banner looks a hell of a lot like JC. Well if there’s anything that screamed “Photoshop me some more evidence!” this is it right?

101ESPN fired the other, stiffer, less black, half of the widely criticized mid-morning show “Parris and Burwell” the other day. Did you hear who Pat Parris’ replacement is? Well, they apparently will work for cheap and be dumb enough to think working with Burwell on a sport radio gig is a “prize”. Guess what?! Its you! …maybe. The Moonrise Hotel is great for the Loop, but horrible for Delmar. The street just can’t handle it. If one person heading east wants to turn in to the Moonrise it backs up traffic all the way through the Loop. The Cardinals aren’t going to re-sign Matt Holliday. Deal with it. Batman couldn’t really get around very well in St. Louis in his usual rooftop style. There are too many breaks in the buildings.

When is Too Early For Christmas Music?

We’ve been through this all before…
Last year it was MOVIN 101.1 that finally had the life-support plug pulled on it and switched to Christmas music in October, and now its 100.3 KATZ thats flipping the switch to Christmas music a little earlier than we all would prefer. So two years in a row, the majority of St. Louisan’s are left scratching our heads as to why on earth you would want to play Chrismas music this early.
