St. Louis’ #1 website, STLToday.com, finally launched a much needed redesign the other day. Our sources say its been in the works for some time and has been in a beta test for a few weeks before finally getting released to the general public the other day. We may have gotten a peak somehow and might have been using it for a little while now…or not…maybe…just sayin’.
So what do we think?

We Broke ESPN 101’s Promo Format Equation
If you’ve even listen to 101 ESPN, the city’s leading sports talk station, you’ve no doubt heard their promos.
“Randy Karraker rides his bike to work…”
“D’Marco Farr is blah blah…”
“Bob Ramsey something…”
How do they do it?! How do they make such great promos that never* want to make you bash your head against the dashboard and then hit the dial so hard you break your radio? Well we took the promos the lab and tried to figure out their secret.

KMOV Cat Fight!
STLMedia is passing on a rumor from their anonymous tip line that KMOV she-anchors Vickie Newton and Jasmine Huda are involved in a brewing mess that one can only hope ends up in a Dynasty-level brawl with a 40% clothes-ripping-off-and-a-boob-popping-out chance.
Says the STLMedia source:
Jasmine Huda to anchor the 6 at KMOV, Vicki Newton is furious and had a fit in the middle of the newsroom. The tension between the two has been fun to watch.

Kurt Greenbaum Leaving STLToday For Greener Patch-ures?
You know how sometimes news people will put a question mark at the end of their headlines or, even more commonly, the TV news anchors will do the higher voice thing at the end of stuff before going to the break: “Are there too many fat people in St. Louis?!”, “People find Randy Naughton informative?!”
This headline is just like those. The answer to the “question” we posed to ourselves is: Yes.

Woah! Be Cool STLToday. No One Needs to Get Hurt Today.
Ok…there’s no reason we can’t all walk away from this. Click on an ad? Sure. Whatever you want…um which one? Uh…we mean we don’t see them because they are so unobtrusive and not at all annoying when they roll over what I’m trying to read and can’t go back up. Look, if you want to keep paying Jeff Gordon to do who knows what, that’s fine. It has nothing to do with us…lets just not take this to a point where you can’t turn back man.

Chrissy Pronger?: Chicago Takes Aim at Ex-Blue
We remember Chris Pronger, we just don’t remember him having such a great ass and set of gams! Rrrrrrrow!
That pull out poster appeared in the Chicago Tribune just after game 5 of the Stanley Cups finals. Some have called it tasteless, others have said “What the hell is hockey?”, but when asked directly, Pronger himself only had this to say: “I don’t read what you guys write. Good or bad.

Found: Time Lapse Video of Driving In To St. Louis
Found this fun little time-lapse video Sean Trani took while driving in to St. Louis a while back, for your Friday enjoyment as you watch the clock ticking…ticking… Can you believe it’s already 4pm?!
Nah. We’re joking. It’s only 2.
If you go poop for an hour it will be 3 when you get out though. Just a thought.
100.3 The Sound Keeps Filling Those Open Slots…That’s What She Said
We now hear that both morning and the afternoon shift has been filled at St. Louis’ newest music station, 100.3 The Sound.
So, um….there you go. Pretty. Exciting. Stuff.
In a related story, I found that pushing on your eye for 2 minutes produces a little squiggly color line show that is just as good as or better than NCIS.
Oh shit I’m sorry. I forgot that school is out and we have more young readers throughout the day!
