Think Again If You Want Steve Jackson to Tweet After Games

81707287DV023_SANFRANCISCOThe National Football League sucks.  Not football mind you, just the league, or the governing bodies to be exact.  You can’t celebrate in the end zone, you can play even though you’ve served your court mandated time in prison, and now you can’t tweet or blog before, during and after games.

From PR 2.0:

On Monday, the National Football League announced that it will now limit use of social media and networks during the season. Players, coaches, officials, personnel, third-party representatives, and even the media are prohibited from updating their status, blogging, or tweeting 90 minutes before a game until post-game interviews are completed.

More on Dave Duncan’s Sandy Vagina

25duncan.1.600Last week we broke the story that Cardinals pitching coach is a pussy, and now we get more information on the status of the amazing amounts of sand stuck in Dunc’s vagina from STLToday’s Joe Strauss.

A lot of this story is stuff we already knew and talked about in our last article, but Strauss does drop some new info like when Dave threw a hissy fit in the clubhouse after the Cardinals traded his son to the Boston Red Sox.

We Hate to Say it but Dave Duncan is Pretty Much a Pussy

25duncan.1.600It pains us, it really does, but as the evidence mounts, we have no choice but to stamp long-time Cardinals pitching coach with the dreaded “pussy” label and last we checked there’s still no crying in baseball.

Lets quickly recount the ways…

  1. Its one thing to get pissed a little when people rag on your son, its another thing when your son is a major leaguer, and its a whole different thing when your son is a poor major leaguer and is still up here only because he’s clearly given leeway that other players that aren’t related to the pitching coach get.

The Cards Come to Terms With Their #1 Pick

Shelby MillerAfter trading away pretty much all of their top-end young talent in deals for Mark DeRosa and Matt Holiday, the Cardinals needed to sign #1 pick, and hard-throwing Texas right-hander Shelby Miller.

Miller suddenly becomes the number one best pitching prospect in the Cardinals farm system.

After initially asking for 4 million to sign, Miller and the Cards settled in on 2.875 Million.  Still a lot of money, but a lot better for the Cards than 4 mill!

People Really Don’t Like KSDK’s Cardinal Games

People Really Don’t Like KSDK’s Cardinal Games

0It’s true, and we have to agree:  The Sunday Cardinal games aired on KSDK (channel 5) are easily the worst out of the four broadcast entities that air Cardinals games.  (The other three being, Fox, ESPN and of course Fox Sports Midwest)

A quick Twitter scan on the subject quickly returned thoughts like these:

I wouldn’t be upset if they moved all their games to cable like the Blues.

Well So Much for All That Rolen Drama

fantasy_u_larussa_rolen_600According to MLB.com, Rolen is unlikely to see action during the upcoming Reds series versus the Cardinals this week.

Reds third baseman Scott Rolen will likely miss at least three more games due to the presence of post-concussion symptoms.

Following the team’s 5-2 win Sunday against the San Francisco Giants, head athletic trainer Mark Mann told reporters Rolen wouldn’t engage in any strenuous physical activity until his symptoms (including an inability to focus) subside.

How’s Rams Camp Going? Lets Ask Steven Jackson

jacksonstretch625jul29The Rams have been bad horrible shittastic for way too long now, but people are feeling that the team is at least heading in the right direction starting this year.  They got a new coach, beefed up their offensive line and put all the old guys on one of those busses that takes elderly people to Wal-Mart on Wednesdays.

Like most new coaches implement, the new Rams coach promised a tough training camp, and although we have just barely scratched the surface, we were wondering how it was going, so we turned to Steven Jackson, Rams running back’s Twitter account:

Is the Mayor Starting a Rams Riot?

A recent tweet from St. Louis Mayor, Francis Slay:

slay_rams_meetingWhat exactly is he planning here?  He didn’t say “BYO torches and pitchforks” and the city doesn’t have any money to provide us with some, so I’m guessing its not the old fashion lynch mob this sounds like it might have been.

Pause for betting time!  What’s the over/under on worn out #13 Kurt Warner jersey doing a bad job of covering a hairy back at this little get together?
