Well done with this little video comparing the two World Series Game Six calls from father and son.

Before the game last night we decided to start up a time lapse shot while we watched the game to capture our joy or sadness…little did we know it would end up capturing the viewing of the greatest game ever…ever!

The capture started just before the first pitch until just a few minutes after the game ended, with a picture taken ever 10 seconds. We also have the tweets from our editor, @mikeflynn_, running down the left side (you’ll need to be in HD fullscreen to read them though).

The Cardinals lost game 5 (photo from the 8th inning above) in one of the worst performances we’ve seen all year for both the players and manager, which says a lot because this team sucked donkey schlong for a few months there. The team went, and this is just based on our score card so we might be a little off, 1 for 19,832,343 in scoring opportunities, but most baseball folks agree that more than anything, Tony stunk up the joint last night with one of his worst game management of all time. The whole game felt like Tony making one more after the other, digging himself deeper and deeper with bench coach Joe Pettini standing next to him yelling “No! Dig up!” Some of the move were fine, but didn’t work, like two of the four bunts. Others were bad, like the other two bunts and repeatedly giving the Rangers a base to put Pujols instead of forcing him to be pitched too…others were really really bad, like putting on a hit and run with Pujols at bat after the last hit and run with Pujols on bat didn’t work at all and made part of us die inside.

The Cardinals were taken to school by a guy who’s playoff beard looks a hell of a lot like the lip fur our old 3rd grade bus driver, Bertha rocked, and the Rams just continued to suck at their usual level.

At least the Rams are consistent, and have been all year right? That’s something. That’s important enough for a reward!

Awww…that’s nice. Former Pittsburg head coach, and Super Bowl winner, Bill Cowher, thoughts?

We’re doing some traveling, and as such, this was meant to be a week off for us, but how do we not say something now?! Here are some quick hits:

We didn’t do one of these yesterday, and we lost. Our bad. We’re back at it tonight though. Doin’ it for Torty (the original Cardinal post-season animal).

1st inning: Quick inning for both sides. Ryan Braun got a hit again, but that’s not news.

Top 2nd: Garcia looks good so far, but it’s all about when he gives up a hit or two. Here’s something else: TBS sucks.

7:26p: John Smoltz won’t ever stop talking.

7:28p: How hard is it to keep the game feed working UVerse? It feels like there hasn’t been a post season game that our UVerse HD feed hasn’t crapped out at some point. Oh and the jumpy Carlos Gomez got thrown out on the bases.

Mid 2nd: Ok, we’re just going to say it, the commercial with the little girl is surprising. We had no idea any black people liked country music…other than Hootie (- the Blowfish).

Go Cardinals! The spirit of 1982 is in you! …whatever the hell that stupid falsetto crap means. Nothing like a gayer version of Richard Simmons to sing and sweat you in to playoff success.

Trying something new tonight: The Facebook live stream. We have no idea if this is better, but WordPress sucks donkey balls for updating the site like we have in the past few live-blogging of games so we’re trying this out. Hopefully this is easy, won’t screw up your FB profile and will leave the comments around so people can read them later. Hell, if we’re throwing out wishes, I’d like you’re mom to stop sweating me, blowing up our phone all the time. Tell her we’re done. It was a 6-time thing. By the way, I’d stop hugging that teddy bear in your old room. It was heavily involved for times 1,3,5 and 6.

St. Louis, we love you, but damn there sure is a large portion of us that knows how to hop on some little thing, and while interesting or humorous initially, beat on it and make it to something so dumb you want to smash your head against the ground to make enough goo leak out your ear so that you now think the overplayed stupid thing is awesome and interesting once again…and you’ll find cut off camo shorts totally awesome and wearable for several occasions.

Cardinals, Cardinals, Cardinals! From Squirrels to dancing on a broken Ryan Howard, to a defeat by the Brewers, this weekend was all Cardinals, all the time. Even we succumbed to the fever by live-blogging the NLDS Game 5 and NLCS Game 1. We didn’t go all in and paint our face like a giant red Cardinals baseball, like this guy, but we just decided to wear our red Cardinals hat instead of our stupid green one. Just seemed easier.
