According to Bloomberg, August Busch IV, the former CEO of Anheuser-Busch and current media-dodging playboy of a recently deceased girlfriend, will join the ranks of the unemployed after he leaves his seat on the AB InBev board of directors after a April 26th shareholder vote to bring in two new members. The news is not surprising, but it’s gotta be tough to give up that sweet gig, but it’s not clear if this means he will also be losing his 100k+/month salary from AB Inbev as a special consultant, product taster and official “makes sure the couch doesn’t float away” guy, which was negotiated during the buyout. Yesterday Cardinals closer, and recent discoverer of Twitter, Ryan Franklin tweeted out a photo of some country star or something who visited the team’s spring training site. The tweet, since removed, said “Got a rookie on the team @davidnail” with a link to this photo: We didn’t even notice the awesomeness that this picture held in it’s background, but the guys at Joe Sports Fan.com did and it may have brought the wrath of the Cardinals and Albert Pujols, big bad #5, down on them. A recent Washington University School of Medicine study discussed the use, or rather misuse, of painkillers by current and former NFL players. The study, commissioned by ESPN’s Outside the Lines, found that 52 percent of former players used prescription pain meds during their active days, and 15 percent of that group admitted to misusing drugs in the last month. “That’s a very large number in a population that, at that age, we wouldn’t expect to see much use of these substances at all,” Compton said. Local legend Dave Sinclair, died today at the age of 81 of gallbladder cancer which has got to be the worst kind of cancer possible since you don’t even need your gallbladder!

We hear that Dave isn’t quite the nice guy he was in the commercials, but we’ll touch on that later.
