Oh man, we are so going to win the 2006 World Series again! Jeff Suppan is coming back to the St. Louis Cardinals. He will be joining the team in Phoenix and hopes to be active early next week. Oh yeah, Jeff Suppan, we remember him. The guy that Fox Sports Midwest dated exclusively for the three years he was here last. By all accounts, Cardinals mega-star Albert Pujols is a really nice guy. So nice in fact that the fact he said anything bad about the Cubs’ stadium basically is the equivalent of us telling them that although old and quaint, their stadium is pretty overrated for a brick circle that makes me think more of a bull fighting right where the Cubs keep charging for that championship and whiffing each time than a baseball park. Pujols’ Agent Quits Firm

Pujols’ agent, Dan Lozano, pulled a Jerry McGuire Tuesday, leaving his prominent sports agency and taking with him his list of big time clients. “Danny Lozano has left Beverly Hills Sports Council, and we wish him well in his future endeavors,” said agent Jeff Borris. Lozano’s departure is likely to have major ramifications within the industry. Pujols, an eight-time All-Star and three-time Most Valuable Player with the St. Louis Cardinals, is closing in on free agency, and is expected to sign an enormous contract in the aftermath of big recent deals for Minnesota catcher Joe Mauer, Philadelphia first baseman Ryan Howard and others. Who Has Two Thumbs and Can Get on Jim Rome’s Show Whenever He Wants? Joe Mather

Check out the video below pulled from Fox Sports Midwest of an excited Joe Mather ruining improving what would normally be a boring Jim Rome interview with Adam Wainwright. Mather ran up from the Cardinals clubhouse to repeatedly run behind Wainwright who really tried his best to keep his composure. At the rate shown in the video, if that interview would have gone on a segment longer, there’s no doubt Mather would have eventually shown his junk to all seven of Jim Rome’s television viewers.
