The Rams lost, again.  They are now the team with the longest current losing streak since Detroit actually scraped one together against the Redskins.  Its getting pretty nasty over at Rams Park for the new regime and Post Dispatch scribe Bernie Miklasz has the proof on his Twitter feed:

Kyle Turley was traded to the St. Louis Rams in March of 2003, which seemed to set in to motion a series of crazy crap for Turley: injuries, a battle with then head coach Mike Martz and then more injuries that resulted in him leaving the Rams and having a short stint with the cross-state Chiefs.

What’s Turley up to now though?  Music.  Country music.  Good country music.  [Editor’s Note: You have no idea how hard that was for us to write that!]

The National Football League sucks.  Not football mind you, just the league, or the governing bodies to be exact.  You can’t celebrate in the end zone, you can play even though you’ve served your court mandated time in prison, and now you can’t tweet or blog before, during and after games.

The Rams have been bad horrible shittastic for way too long now, but people are feeling that the team is at least heading in the right direction starting this year.  They got a new coach, beefed up their offensive line and put all the old guys on one of those busses that takes elderly people to Wal-Mart on Wednesdays.

Like most new coaches implement, the new Rams coach promised a tough training camp, and although we have just barely scratched the surface, we were wondering how it was going, so we turned to Steven Jackson, Rams running back’s Twitter account:

What exactly is he planning here?  He didn’t say “BYO torches and pitchforks” and the city doesn’t have any money to provide us with some, so I’m guessing its not the old fashion lynch mob this sounds like it might have been.

Pause for betting time!  What’s the over/under on worn out #13 Kurt Warner jersey doing a bad job of covering a hairy back at this little get together?

In the most recent issue of ESPN The Magazine (July 13, 2009) they released their annual Ultimate Standings where they grade all NBA, NFL and MLB teams in things like “Stadium Experience,” “Fan Relations,” and “Ownership.”

In the “Bang for the Buck” category, which is “wins over the past year per revenues directly from fans, adjusted for league schedules”, the Rams came in dead last, as in 122 out of 122.  Well done guys.

Two things are clear from that graphic above: 1. My photoshop skills are l33t.  2. St. Louis’ collective love for Kurt Warner hasn’t been this high since…well since he took our football team to the Super Bowl.

But why do we collectively love this guy so much?  If you have been around St. Louis for a while now you are saying “What?!   Kurt Warner is like if Jesus knew karate!  He’s just too amazing to understand!”  Well, what if you are new to St. Louis, or you are a google searching putting up his feet on our little cyber dive-bar here for a quick drink in the desert that is the internet?  Kurt left town 7 or 8 years ago people!  Everyone could use a refresher course!  So let PunchingKitty.com count the reasons…
