As promised, we stopped by the Con-tamination Horror Movie, Sci-Fi, Pop Culture convention this weekend to see the happenings of St. Louis’ horror-loving scene.

In summary, the coolest thing was easily the Night of the Living Dead puppet show put on by Angry Young Men, Ltd

The scariest thing we saw? This autographed photo of David Caruso. Why would someone want that?! Creepy to think about.

Did you hear that Lady Gaga came to St. Louis recently and brought one of our personal favorite bands Semi Precious Weapons?  Well it happened! Do you know what went on there that night?  If you guessed zany costumes and smoke machines, you are 100% right!

Today while picking up some dinner we caught a group of gentlemen gathered around a couple of chess boards battling with each other’s wit as opposed to the chill outside.

This is St. Louis.  A warm place where friends get together via intelligent activities.

Here’s a different photo from one of our readers that on his morning dog constitutional.

It is a pile of homeless person poop neatly coiled in front of an Organic food store downtown.  Its not clear from the photo if the intent was some sort of statement on organic food or this restaurant in particular, but we do know this:  This is also St. Louis.  A place were you can clearly see some that guy duked on the sidewalk.

We didn’t realize that City Diner, one of our favorite local eateries, was not only open for Thanksgiving, but had a special menu, but one of our readers did!  …and they sent us photos!

Yes, we are a perfectly awesome blog that leaves clumps of blogging gold in the cat box on a daily basis, but let it not be said we are conceited!  There are other blogs in St. Louis that we love, and “Girl, You Lost Your Weave” is one of them.

The idea here is brilliant.  If you’ve lived or visited St. Louis, I know you’ve seen some spare hair lying on the ground and if you didn’t, look closer.  Its gross and its everywhere.  …so Hartwig decided to photograph it.

Hey ladies of St. Louis!  Do you ever feel like you need to dress up in weird outfits or nothing at all and go to a strange-looking man’s office so he can take pictures of you for free as long as he can keep some himself and maybe post them on his website?  Well have I got the guy for you!  …also, I’m very sorry your daddy didn’t love you.
