According to the St. Louis Post Dispatch, long-time Cardinal skipper Tony LaRussa will return to the Cardinals for at least the 2010 season, which is pretty much what every one thought would happen.  The Cardinals return next year with at least the best hitter in the game in Pujols and the tandem of Cy Young candidate pitchers in Adam Wainwright and Chris Carpenter, together that is a recipe most managers, especially Tony, just can’t pass up.

Steiner Sports Marketing think so and they Yadi’s little memory slip means he should pay them about $175,000.   Which would be the $90,660 that they paid the Cardinals catcher to do the session and then another $84,340 for whatever.

Would our big eared Yadi skip out on an event he was already paid to do?  Who knows, but we think a lawsuit like this is probably initiated because they have some pretty solid evidence.

Dammit Obama Girl and YouTube.  Now every somewhat famous face gets its own “girl.”  Don’t believe me?  Even Cardinals center fielder Colby Rasmus has one apparently.

…oh and this one’s not super talented with the singing or the dancing.  But hey, a crazy fan is a crazy fan right Colby?

Our St. Louis tipsters have been sending us the link to this video over and over again this weekend, and it really is totally f*cked up.  When you first start to watch it you may say, “Hey no mister!  Don’t blast all Dodger fans for one asshole!”  To that I say, keep watching…eventually the whole section shows its true colors: Dodger Dickhead Blue.

Today marks the beginning of the major league baseball playoffs and the Cardinals are back in the mix since their 2006 world series winning campaign. Did you shave last night?  Good.  Now don’t do it again until the Cards are out of the playoffs, hopefully holding a sweet ass trophy. Its playoff beard time!

This time-honored, hockey invented tradition isn’t just for the crazy fans, the players get in to it too every year and I love it.  Wainwright was rocking his P.B. right along with me when he froze Beltran with a 12 to 6 curve and back a long time ago we used to have this third baseman Scott Rolen who got injured (again) going in to the playoffs and when asked about his availability for the playoffs he dropped a quote that went something like

Which Cardinal infielder switched positions and bed mates over the last year or two?

We hear that this player has had lots of fun off the diamond without his wife and apparently isn’t at all shy talking about it.

This same Cardinal also isn’t shy about the amount of time he and 2 of his young-ish Cardinal teammates play in the “snow”.  Maybe all the testing is about ‘roids and not about the party drugs?

The Cardinals are officially in the playoffs again and after running across this promo from 1992 about 100 years of the Cardinals on  YouTube, it got me thinking:  Where are the new cheesy promos?!  I want to see Pujols and Holiday “playing” the trumpet.  I want to see Julio Lugo playing the kettle drums!  …maybe Tony throw down some bad dance moves!  Oh and one quick shot of Dave Duncan just standing there, arms folded, looking pissed.
