The Moonrise Hotel is great for the Loop, but horrible for Delmar. The street just can’t handle it. If one person heading east wants to turn in to the Moonrise it backs up traffic all the way through the Loop. The Cardinals aren’t going to re-sign Matt Holliday. Deal with it. Batman couldn’t really get around very well in St. Louis in his usual rooftop style. There are too many breaks in the buildings.

Random Interview: Jason Robinson
We are starting a little thing here on Punching Kitty: The Random Interview! Do I really have to explain it? Ok, fine. Its a interview with a random person.
We got some response on Twitter when we asked for anyone that wanted to be interviewed, and this was the first response we got back! More of these are coming since 1. its a cool spotlight on people and 2. its one less post idea I have to come up with when its a slow news day!

Trees Get Cold Too…I Guess
Tuesday Morning Protests
On my way to work to day, I saw not one but two protests! I mean these things weren’t exactly Malcolm X worthy, but protests all the same!
First we have the “Pro Lifers” outside of the Planned Parenthood on Forest Park Parkway in Midtown.
Way to go lady. You really changed the minds of the groggy drivers going to work and the throngs of sluts heading to Planned Parenthood at 8:30 in the morning on a Tuesday.

A St. Louis Woman Sends a Letter to St. Louis Men

Found in the Missed Connections section of Craigslist: St. Louis
Dear Men of Saint Louis,
My existence on the same public sidewalk as you does not mean you are entitled to talk to me.
Do you need the time? I can do that. Do you need vague, inarticulate directions? I can definitely help. But, unless you are vaguely in my age range and honestly think that if we one day made babies they would be happy, healthy, and not dragged down to some mean attractiveness, you absolutely do not need my phone number.

The natural gas storage tanks owned by Laclede Gas were erected in 1925 and 1941, and have been inactive since 1995.

Stock Photos of White Old People Are Racist Thinks Moron
I’m not here to be that guy that tells everyone that racism doesn’t exist any more. It totally does and seen plenty of it with my own eyes. This however, isn’t it:
When Sonja McClendon searched for senior housing for her 87-year-old black father in St. Louis County, she spotted advertisements for housing centers that didn’t feature any black people. “That’s offensive,” she said. “It says that’s who lives here and maybe that’s the way we want to keep it.
