The Lions Pounced on the Rams and Ate Their Face

The Lions didn’t just beat our St. Louis Rams Sunday afternoon, they destroyed them, dropping their largest point total on an opponent in over 15 years. The Lions bent over the Rams and just went to town, causing Detroit wide receiver Nate Burleson to have to take a break from banging us because he balls were apparently on fire (above).

So much for all that “We might make the playoffs!” talk from last week huh? *cough*Told ya so.*cough*

Even pre-blessed, Hall of Fame Quarterback Sam Bradford looked a bit lost out there, especially after losing go-to receiver Mark Clayon to injury. Bradford did have strong words about the teams play after the game though:

“There are going to be a lot of things that we have to find on the film and fix because we have to make sure this never happens again,” said Bradford, who was drafted this year No. 1 overall just ahead of Suh. “I don’t think I’ve ever been part of a loss like this.”

We’re confused now. Do we suck horribly again or is this going to be called just a “blip” or a “growing pain” by the local radio cheerleaders? This is all so confusing! We could have sworn the Rams were the best team in the division last week. Man we hope D’Marco Farr can help us out by explaining all of this while mixing in a few football-isms and telling us which players are “his boy”. Always helpful.

For those that missed the game or haven’t seen the full highlights we have one linked below courtesy of NFL Films:

At least the Rams/Goats proved to be at least difficult enough to chew as to allow those villagers to escape.

Project Runway Season 8 Includes Two Designers From St. Louis

I know you think we here at Punching Kitty spend our “down time” doing extreme things like kicking lions or swimming in the Mississippi with our mouths open, but from time to time we might sit down and enjoy the more stagnent side of life by enjoying a spot of TV. Keeping in mind the whole “kicking lions” thing we said earlier, we aren’t afraid to say we watch Project Runway. The one problem with Proj. Run. is that its kind of always the same…New York, weird designers from the coast, or “hoosier” designers from somewhere in the middle.

Imagine our surprise though when we found out that not one, but two, of the up-coming season’s contestants hailed from St. Louis! We’ll be sure to keep you non-watchers updated on their progress later on, but lets just start out with some basic “hellos”:

A.J. Thouvenot

A.J. currently works for local fashion label TrashBiscuit, is 26 and has fabulous emo-kid hair. He, like all of the season 8 cast, has a Project Runway bio page.

Michael Drummond

Michael likes really open collared t-shirts, is 31 and is currently working on his own as a freelance designer. Here is his Project Runway bio page.

The new season start on July 29th, on Lifetime.  Lifetime makes it easy to watch the show and then catch a few stories about how men cheat on, beat and rape everything that has a vagina beating out the last of your manhood…unless you kick lions right after of course.

We’ll see you gentlemen at the zoo.

The Rams Win the Slap Fight Between the Two NFL Sissies

Holy crap the Rams won a game!

Let me rephrase: Steve Jackson won a game.  The rest of them stood around and took penalties for a few hours.

For those that missed the game, here’s a recap: There were tons of dropped balls and penalties and, well…here’s a clip from the game:

Of course there will be those that will spend all day today talking about this being a “turing point” and how this was when people took control, but lets cut the crap.  They barely beat the other worst team in the league.  Lets not go crazy on the turning point crap.  Remember the last turing point when they beat the Cowboys last year?  …oh yeah, that was the last time the Rams one won [Editor's Note: Crap. FAILure is contagious apparently.].
