Here’s Some Insane Tweets to Joe Buck After Sunday’s Football Game

Poor Joe Buck (@buck on Twitter), he just can’t win. The St. Louis native is always a dick to your team.Which team? Your team. …No wait. Of the two teams that played in Sunday’s NFC championship game, which one did he hate specifically? The one that you liked.

Of course not everyone is team specific. Other’s just have career advice:

Laugh now, but a small part of you thought Buck heaped a little too much praise on Mike Napoli in the World Series didn’t you?!

The Internet Loves Joe Buck

Could it be? Is St. Louis’ native son, superstar announcer, Joe Buck not well liked by the hive mind that is the internet? Well just ask Google…

As you can tell from the suggestions above, it doesn’t take long to find plenty of Joe Buck hate. Here’s a sampling:

- My god, Joe Buck is annoying. He’s an idiot, boring and has a grating dorky voice. I literally change games when I see he is an analyst. You hear that Fox???

- I have this nasty cold sore on my lower lip. It is going on two weeks now. Every night it dries out and cracks so I have this nasty scab for the first half of the day, then it falls off and alternates between bleeding and oozing puss BUT….I still like it better than listening to Joe Buck

- it obvious that joe buck and troy aikman are gay lovers .i think ight now they a spooning in the both at lambaeu field to keep warm

Just people from other towns you say? Hold on there skippy!

- I was just listening to the last pitch of the World Series and Joe Buck’s call. He made reference to Jason Isringhausen’s conversation with Adam Wainwright and being swarmed then said Wainwright was being swarmed in a big big way. Just utter jibberish….nonsensical shit for brains stuff at the cusp of the Cardinal’s game 5 win.

- I’m from St.Louis and obviously a fan of all the area teams and I got to say I still can’t stand this guy. He is openly self-centered and completely full of himself. He’s a terrible announcer always more than eager to bash teams and players personally while announcing a game. This guy is a disgrace to all sports broadcasting.

Lets also revisit that “joe buck and troy aikman are gay lovers” comment in particular. This seems to be a common thread in the anti-Buck segment. Lots and lots of people really think Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are totally gay for each other. ESPN’s Skip Bayless pseudo-outed the former Dallas quarterback a year ago, and even with that evidence we tend to disagree with the rumors of a steamy broadcast booth affair, the internet seems to disagree. Hell there’s a Facebook page you can join called  ”Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are gay…..with each other“. Seriously!

So there’s that.

If you just hate Joe Buck but don’t think he’s necessarily gay, you can join the wonderfully concisely titled Facebook group “F*ck Joe Buck“

What do we think about Joe Buck?

Eh. We aren’t all that crazy either way about him. He’s fine most of the time and if we want to throw down on crappy announcers we could give you 5 that are worse than Buck no problem. That being said, we are holding on to one kick in the balls coupon just for Buck because of his amazingly flat announcing of the Cardinals World Series win. Almost like he was trying to tone it down. We recall him going plenty crazy when both colors or ‘Sox won in 2004 and 2005. The Cardinals? We get “…and the St. Louis Cardinals are your World Series Champs.”  That wasn’t the excitement level we wanted. That sounded like the excitement level of a guy picking out a suppository.

Oh also there’s this:

Really Joe? It was disgusting? Really?

[Editor's Note: The 5 worst are, in no order: Joe Morgan, Tim McCarver, Chris Berman,Stuart Scott, Dick Vitale]

Joe Buck’s Show Got Cancelled

Posted by The Editor on 30 Mar 2010 /

St. Louis’ own sports talkin’ prodigy Joe Buck’s HBO show has been cancelled, which is quite a statement if you can’t even get people that pay for the privilege to get the network to watch your show.

Buck’s show kind of got rating when Artie Lange of the Howard Stern Show and Dirty Work (the greatest movie ever made) made the first episode about as awkward as walking in on your mom going at it with some guy you went to high school with…and then Artie Lange comes in.

“Joe Buck is one of the premier broadcasters in our industry,” [Ross] Greenburg said.  ”We have made the decision not to continue his talk show and wish him all the best and continued success with his wide array of responsibilities at Fox Sports.”

We love this part of the press release:

“Joe worked tirelessly on the three shows, and we appreciate his professionalism and immense talent.”

Joe worked tirelessly…on the three shows?!  Ya think we’re dumb HBO? You don’t have to lick Buck’s butt-hole. You’re canceling the show because it wasn’t good, not because Buck just worked too hard. Its like saying to the new janitor at work “Well Steve we’re gonna have to let you go. It was an honor to work with you though and you really cleaned the hell out of that toilet on your first day for 15 minutes right up until we had this meeting.”

HBO followed up with…Joe Buck is the greatest person on the earth. His farts smell like cinnamon sugar and his taint sweat is the best aftershave money can buy….but…it turns out that when the clock turns 10 people that pay for HBO would rather be watching pseudo-porn where the sex is so fake it looks like he’s giving it to her in her belly button.

Look for Buck humoring Tim McCarver and trying not to cut himself on Jeanne Zelasko’s face all summer long on Fox.

Joe Buck Probably Banging Someone New

…technically the word is that he is “taking a break” from his wife…but come on dudes.  We all know what that means.

Jerry Burger took a break from talking about people no one gives a damn about and posing for photos like one of those 6 year old beauty pageant girls to actually break a story:

Sports broadcaster  Joe Buck, 42, and his wife,  Ann,  are separated “They’re taking a break,” said Joe’s mom, Carol Buck.  Buck, the son of the late legendary sportscaster Jack Buck, helms “Joe Buck Live” on HBO and continues his chores on FOX.

As far as “other women”, selection at Fox Sports ranging from the rough-looking Jeanie Zlasko to…well all kinds of decent tail.  Which of course there is a blog all about! Sideline Hotties has a whole section for the women of Fox Sports!

Enjoy.  That goes double for you Joe.  You dog!

[Editor's Note: This post was pretty much all made up because we don't know much more than Burger does. If you have any info to share on this, hit us up on tips@punchingkitty.com!]

Update:

We missed Deadspin’s take on this yesterday that had this little nugget:

On March 1st we received a tip from a friend of the family who said something similar but we spoke to The Agency last week, which represents Buck, and they denied any separation and said Joe and Ann are “not even close” to getting a divorce. So maybe Buck’s mother is a little confused.

We’re thinking she’s not confused, but maybe was not counting on Jerry Burger figuring out his computer.

Joe Buck Tells Everyone St. Louis is the Best Sports Town

In Joe Bucks new (?) “Buck Shot” online web short series, Buck, after his totally flat “I’m a national sports guy” world series winner call in 2006, has finally come out in favor of St. Louis on a national level!

Buck and his crew interview many St. Louis personalities, including not one, but two free 101 ESPN commercials for his friends over there (Read: Randy K.).

Here’s the clip:

Not bad.  He couldn’t get Pujols though?
